A rebranding commercial for MSN by creative design collective, Tomato. Working collaboratively with Directors, Jason Kedgley and Michael Horsham, a selection of images and video clips were narrowed down to three core elements, a torus, a flock of birds and a fractal. I created about a dozen animation tests for each, which were refined and cross pollinated. Tomato constantly challenged me to 'break' the tools and conventional ways of working - geometry that continually changed topology, ‘swimming’ textures and a flocking system that flew through right angles. I worked closely with Tomato rolling the tests into a sequence, supervising the team through production.
